What is the Cost of Braces?
The cost of braces is different for each patient based on the type of braces worn, how long the treatment takes, and how often patients must be seen for evaluations. Drs. Savage, Sabol & Visser understand that braces are a large investment for most families and try to make them as affordable as possible. We offer orthodontic treatment options for just $99 down and as little as $200 a month. During a complimentary consultation, they may offer more than one option for orthodontic treatment along with the cost of each one. They also review the payment and financing options. We offer in-house financing to those who qualify in addition to CareCredit®, as monthly payments are easier to accommodate than lump sum payments. It is important to note that discounts may be offered to those who pay in full upfront.
Does Dental Insurance Cover the Cost of Braces?
Some dental insurance plans provide coverage for orthodontics; however, with most of them, the coverage is an elective that must be selected during annual open enrollment. We can help you determine if your dental insurance provides coverage as well as answer any questions about how insurance coverage for orthodontics works. We work with most insurance companies to determine your out-of-pocket costs prior to beginning your treatment.
Can I Use My FSA or HSA Funds to Pay for Braces?
Braces and other orthodontics are allowed expenses covered by FSA or HSA funds. Most insurance providers of these accounts require detailed receipts and information to ensure they are being used for the treatments. Drs. Savage, Sabol & Visser are happy to assist you with your FSA or HSA questions.
