Do All Types of Orthodontics Require Avoiding Certain Foods?

For the most part, the foods to avoid pertains to wearing braces that include wires to move the teeth. However, there are foods that everyone should limit or avoid in order to preserve the health of their teeth.

When it comes to braces, foods to avoid include those that can impede the orthodontic treatment or damage braces. Some of the most common foods to avoid include:

  • Sticky or chewy candy
  • Popcorn

  • Chewing or bubble gum
