I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I am married with two beautiful girls. We love the shore life and enjoy spending our free time on the beach and out on the boat. I joined the SSV team in 1999, as a part time clinical assistant, while still attending ODU full time. In 2020 I transitioned to a full time position as both the New Patient Coordinator and the Insurance Coordinator. I love working with our amazing patients and seeing the beautiful smiles we create. I feel privileged to be able to work with such a dedicated and talented team.

Shannon

I joined the SSV team May of 2020 after relocating here from Florida with my husband and 2 beautiful daughters. I’ve worked in orthodontics for 13 years and I love getting to know my patients, learning about their lives and seeing the amazing smiles that our SSV team creates. I feel truly blessed to work with such incredible doctors, co-workers who I now consider friends. When I am not working you can catch me running after my very active girls, they keep me busy.

Laurie

I am a native of Virginia Beach and after graduating from Frank W. Cox High School, I attended college and moved to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There, I was married and raised my beautiful daughter, Brittany and later relocated back to the Virginia Beach area to continue my growth in the dental field.

After working for the practice for 11 years in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, I am very excited to find myself again working for such a wonderful practice and an amazing group of doctors. I have been in dental management and the financial end of dentistry for over 30 years. My passion is building relationships with patients and educating them with their dental needs. I love to see the smile transformations as they tend to be life-changing for many of our patients.

I love the ocean and doing things outdoors, so Virginia Beach is the perfect place for me. I have a sweet lab, Lily, who is my constant companion. I love spending time with family and friends and working on DIY projects. Since a young child, I was very involved with raising and showing horses and continue to carry on this passion of mine. I love to travel, especially visiting many beaches and national parks, and I must add that Italy and Montana, amongst a few, hold a very special place in my heart.
